CM: Captain's Log

So this one time a long time ago I decided I would do the Spring Musical at my school. I can’t sing, but a lot of my friends were doing it and I figured:

So I tried out and I got Chorus which was surprising because with my talent I was really expecting to be the first person in history not to even get into a no cut production:

So at first we were all just dancing and practicing singing, a lot, like a lot a lot, and then things got intense and we started actually rehearsing the full show. This meant me, this one other girl who I didn’t know, and one of my Best Friends/my “cousin” weren’t on stage very often because for some reason we just ended up not being lots of scenes during the second act. 

At first we all preoccupied ourselves backstage individually until we found out there was a karaoke machine in the unlocked choir room backstage…

It started out with just playing some music and singing along to it without the mikes but before long we would spend the majority of act two with the karaoke machine blasting out old hits. Luckily they were both amazing singers so while they were all:

I was, well….

Eventually the show came to a close and our Karaoke parties became but a fond memory. However, the friendships that I made are still some of the ones I still hold most dear even now that I’m in College.  I still go back to hang out and see my two Karaoke buddies when I’m on break and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 

Anyways, THE important thing about this whole story and why y’all get to hear it again is that TODAY IS KAELA’s BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! SO I wanted to celebrate how awesome she is with what is probably a very poorly done .gif story because she’s awesome and deserves some sort of awesome birthday post!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAELA!
